I chalked the lines and helped paint a street in Penn Quarter, Washington, DC for the ColorField Remix project (that’s me in the blue shorts!). ColorField Remix was a celebration of Washington Color School artists like Gene Davis. This 2007 street painting project was an homage to a street painting done in Philadelphia in 1972. At the time I managed the city’s Art Bank Collection, which displayed artwork in 100+ offices throughout Washington. Back to home.
